NFL Salary Cap Explained! Video Series
Hey everyone, TC here!
I’ve been working on a new video series playlist, NFL Salary Cap Explained! The first set of videos is now available to watch.
This series will have 20 episodes, each covering a single topic, and ranging from 5 to 15 minutes. Each episode will explain the specific topic from a high-level perspective.
Evidence and examples will be showcased including excerpts from NFL player contracts and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
I will continue to release new episodes in the coming weeks leading up to the start of free agency on March 12, 2025.

Hey Cap, I was wondering if you could explain why the Texans wouldn’t use post June 1st trade or cut options for Tytus or Shaq. I noticed the cap savings to dead money seemed worth it. Is there something that would make them not want to do that and just use the pre June 1 cuts. I get they might need the cap before June 1st but I was just wondering if teams generally try to not use June 1 releases unless they’re trying to manipulate the dead money.
