Luv this insight into contract extending Diggs! Almost positive both sides would be thrilled with results.

Additional angle, in Texans & Diggs favor moving forward past playing days, what if that third year, Stefon moves into player coaching role for WR room? Thought about same thing with Aaron Glenn, back when he was a Texan player, could have easily been retained in similar role instead of released away (Dallas) leaving void in cornerback room. Could say same thing for DeMeco Ryans too, but they chose to move on.

Thought?

Honestly I am not sure if Diggs has any want to move into coaching. Thanks for reading Wesley

I think this proposal sounds fair to both sides, especially coming off injury. If it doesn't work, Goodwin sounds like the best option, but I can't imagine Tampa lets him walk. I have heard some chatter on Garret Wilson, but I think draft capital would be to high. Best option from a cap perspective is Emeka Egbuka, he should be available at end of 1st and CJ already has rapport with him. Tack on TTU's RB Taj in 4th round with OL in between and he will have a stellar draft and the Offense will be ready to dominate in 2025, even more so if we also keep Diggs, but FA needs to focus on Oline and DB depth.

If we keep or don’t keep Diggs I would still take a receiver early in the draft. First should be Oline but if the talents not there go receiver. Wr or TE

If Jajuan Jennings hits the market, that is the answer rather than re-signing Diggs. Nothing against him, but he's the wrong side of 30, coming off an ACL, playing a position that is highly dependent on quickness. He is the dictionary definition of high-risk, mid-reward.

We need two receivers, I would hope Jennings in FA and the best we can find in the draft. Also need a TE1, so...there's that, too 🤣
